Gründungsfeier des East Side Fab e.V.
Gelungene Auftaktveranstaltung des East Side Fab e.V.: Die Vorstandsmitglieder und die künftige Geschäftsführerin, Anna Lawera, stellten Vereinsziele, Förderkulisse und bereits bestehende Innovationsimpulse einem breiten Publikum aus Unternehmens-, Start-up-, Kreativen-, Forschungs- und Politikvertretern vor.
Der East Side Fab e.V. ist DAS Netzwerk für alle, die GEMEINSAM die Innovationen von morgen vorantreiben wollen – so der Vereinsvorstandsvorsitzende Johannes Hauck (hager group) und Anna Lawera (East Side Fab e.V.) in ihren Beiträgen. Praxisorientiert, einfach unkonventionell machen!
Ein großes Dankeschön gilt allen Akteuren, die zum bunt gefächerten Veranstaltungsprogramm beitrugen: den saarländischen Staatssekretären Henrik Eitel (Staatskanzlei) und Jürgen Barke (MWAEV) für ihre Grußworte, den Impuls-Referenten Prof. Mana Mojadadr, Prof. Christian Köhler (beide htw saar), M.Sc. Daniel Müller (Universität des Saarlandes) und Dr. Jan-Philipp Exner (August-Wilhelm Scheer Institut) sowie den beiden Gründern für ihre Start-up-Pitches (Dr. Matthäus Langosch/CeLaGo Sensors, Philipp Linnebach/Desaar).
Auf Interesse stieß die Protypen-Ausstellung der beiden Start-ups ebenso wie die VR-Präsentationen von thyssenkrupp System Engineering und Partner ZeMA/KomZet Saar. In der abschließenden Diskussionsrunde beleuchteten Vereinsvorstände (Torsten Schunk/ thyssenkrupp System Engineering , Sandra Koch-Wagner/OBG Gruppe, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dieter Leonhard/htw saar) sowie weitere Vereinsmitglieder (Dr. Peter Domma/Villeroy & Boch) und Partner (Julia Hartnik/K8) das Innovationspotential des East Side Fab e.V. aus den Blickwinkeln der unterschiedlichen Branchen und Institutionen.
Der Verein wird dabei neue Wege in der gleichnamigen Ideenschmiede East Side Fab im Saarbrücker Osten beschreiten („VON Unternehmen, FÜR Unternehmen“) und seine Netzwerkaktivitäten offen gestalten: “Aus Unterschieden machen wir gemeinsam Innovation – Gemeinsame Innovation macht den Unterschied“, mit Strahlkraft im Saarland, der Großregion und darüber hinaus.
Für die Halle, den Trägerverein, sowie die notwendige moderne Infrastruktur hat das saarländische Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Innovation, Digitales und Energie des Saarlandes (MWIDE) ein Fördervolumen von etwa 3 Mio. € in einem Zeitrahmen von vier Jahren vorgesehen.

Founding ceremony of East Side Fab e.V.
Successful kick-off event of East Side Fab e.V.: The board members and the future managing director, Anna Lawera, presented the association’s goals, funding framework and already existing innovation impulses to a broad audience of company, start-up, creative, research and political representatives.
East Side Fab e.V. is THE network for everyone who wants to drive tomorrow’s innovations TOGETHER – according to the association’s chairman Johannes Hauck (hager group) and Anna Lawera (East Side Fab e.V.) in their articles. Practice-oriented, simply do things unconventionally!
A big thank you goes out to all the players who contributed to the colourful programme of events: Saarland State Secretaries Henrik Eitel (State Chancellery) and Jürgen Barke (MWAEV) for their words of welcome, the impulse speakers Prof. Mana Mojadadr, Prof. Christian Köhler (both htw saar), M.Sc. Daniel Müller (Saarland University) and Dr. Jan-Philipp Exner (August-Wilhelm Scheer Institute) as well as the two founders for their start-up pitches (Dr. Matthäus Langosch/CeLaGo Sensors, Philipp Linnebach/Desaar).
The prototype exhibition of the two start-ups was met with interest, as were the VR presentations by thyssenkrupp System Engineering and partners ZeMA/KomZet Saar. In the concluding discussion round, association board members (Torsten Schunk/ thyssenkrupp System Engineering , Sandra Koch-Wagner/OBG Gruppe, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dieter Leonhard/htw saar) as well as other association members (Dr. Peter Domma/Villeroy & Boch) and partners (Julia Hartnik/K8) examined the innovation potential of East Side Fab e.V. from the perspectives of the various sectors and institutions.
In doing so, the association will break new ground in the East Side Fab think tank of the same name in the east of Saarbrücken (“FROM companies, FOR companies”) and openly design its networking activities: “We take differences and turn them into innovation together – joint innovation makes the difference”, with charisma in Saarland, the greater region and beyond.
The Saarland Ministry of Economics, Labour, Energy and Transport (MWAEV) has earmarked a funding volume of € 3.1 million over a period of four years for the hall, the supporting association and the necessary modern infrastructure.
