“SOUNDS of SOCIETY” Kickoff

SOUNDS invites you to a public kick-off event at the Innovation Center on the Saarbrücken campus. The event has two non-exclusive themes, so you can choose which one to focus on or attend the entire event:

• Morning – Academic Focus: SOUNDS of SOCIETY & SOUNDS of CODING (starting at 9:00 a.m.)
  Research topics and methods, connecting research, identifying common areas of focus, and developing new perspectives. Featuring a welcome address, a keynote speech, a poster session, and a speed-dating format for getting to know one another, networking, and initiating future collaborations.
• Afternoon – Social Focus: SOUNDS for SOCIETY & SOUNDS in DIALOGUE (2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.)
  Addressing needs, shaping impact, and strengthening collaboration—bringing these efforts into society. Featuring a keynote address, opening remarks, and interactive dialogue formats to identify issues from the worlds of business, government, and society; to initiate new collaborations; and to promote the transfer of scientific findings into practice

At lunchtime, there will be a group break with catering, and after the event, you’ll have the chance to continue networking at SOUNDS Beats and wind down the day in a relaxed atmosphere.

East Side Fab is participating as a partner: As part of the afternoon program , we will be leading the workshop “From Data Literacy to Concrete Collaborations.” Together, we aim to foster dialogue between business, academia, and society, highlight opportunities, and develop concrete points of connection for future collaborations.
