You can probably guess about “East Side”—since 2019, we’ve been part of the rapidly growing Neue City Ost in Saarbrücken.
And what does “Fab” stand for? You can choose! Whether it’s “fabulous,” “fabrication,” or just the classic “factory”—anything goes.
Is it “die” or “das” East Side Fab? It’s hard to believe, but we’re also grappling with the well-known Nutella question. As is well known, opinions are divided on whether it’s “die” or “das” Nutella.
But we have good news: for us, the Nutella question has been settled—it’s “DAS” East Side Fab.
Caution! Exceptions prove the rule: If you use the full name "East Side Fab eingetragener Verein," it should be written as "DER East Side Fab e.V."
Our communication style is clear, dynamic, and results-oriented. We are convinced that fast and transparent communication is the fuel for innovation.
We prefer to use the informal “du” form—in the spirit of #gerneperdu. It’s important to us that communication is relaxed, direct, and on an equal footing.
If you feel more comfortable using the formal “Sie” form of address, we’d of course be happy to switch to that as well. In short: You’re welcome to use “du” with us, but you’re also welcome to use “Sie.”
Yes, if you're a member. Tell us briefly what you have in mind—then we'll figure out together if the Open Space is the right place for it.
You can pitch your idea even without a membership. If it’s to develop into a collaborative innovation project, that will require a membership. Together, we’ll assess where you stand, which partners are a good fit, and what the next logical step should be. It will be published with the express consent of the partners involved.
As a member, you’ll become part of a strong network of companies, academic institutions, and startups. You’ll gain new insights, make connections, and receive support for innovation projects—from workshops and funding opportunities to collaborative projects. This helps turn good ideas into tangible results more quickly.
