DEMO

Raising Awareness About Energy Consumption

DEMO = Digital EnergyTwin for Real-Time Multi-Data Monitoring

In this age of digitalization and connectivity, energy consumption is rising dramatically, and so are the associated costs. For critical infrastructure and utilities, it is becoming increasingly important to be able to monitor, control, and predict energy flows.

The idea.

The consortium's goal is to develop an energy data twin as part of a real-world demonstration project to map energy data in real time for building and neighborhood operators, as well as residents.

As part of the project, a demonstrator will be built. The generic dashboard or visualization platform will be able to display IoT data such as electricity consumption, gas, heat, etc. Based on open-source software, energy flows will be visualized spatially in real time.

Energy consultations and the development of specific recommendations for unit owners are not part of the project.

Challenge.

Property managers face the challenge that neither they nor the residents have access to a real-time visualization or overview of all relevant energy flows across all utility types. This results in a lack of transparency for all parties involved regarding past, current, and future energy consumption.
